Lane was working at a hospital in Idaho Falls, ID where he had other male nurses decide to become traveling nurses. One of there wife's came over to our house to dig some trees from our property. While she was there Lane asked how her husband was liking the traveling nursing. She told us how much her husband loved it and the freedom of being self employed was nice. Then she said that it almost tripled their income. This made my ears perk up and got my wheels turning. So I guess I kind of talked Lane into quitting at the hospital and do the traveling nursing thing also.
His 1st job was in Spokane Washington. The contracts are 4 months long, so the kids and I decided to go down and visit Lane in his little travel trailer for a few days. Well, that turned into a few weeks and I didn't want to go home. I found that I didn't miss anything at home, my newly redecorated home, my yard, our STUFF. Didn't miss any of it. I loved taking the kids out to different sights and seeing the world. Each day we would decide on a new place to visit. Museums, planetariums, art shows, library's (ya I know, a little nerdy, but to see the kids reactions...priceless) They wanted to see more and more. I also noticed sense all my attention was on keeping the kids occupied and all my attention was on them that there was less yelling, less of me getting frustrated and less of me wanted to have breaks away from them. I was actually really enjoying every minute with them.
We went back to Idaho and I just really wanted to be back in that little travel trailer and be a family, and really enjoy each other. So I pitched to Lane that we sell EVERYTHING and travel with him around the country. So that's what we did. And now it's been over a year and still loving it. It's 11:00 at night and a new week starts in the morning so I am going to bed. I will get pictures posted and show where we have been.
